Disclosure and Privacy Policy

As a dietitian, I support transparent and ethical use of information, both when I provide and receive it. This disclosure and privacy policy will explain a little more about what I do, some of the logistics of the information I provide to you and how I use/handle any personal data which I may collect from you.

My profession and code of practice

About the information that I provide on this website, through my social media and when providing content for others:

  • My goal is to inspire and empower others to live healthy and happy lives by sharing evidence-based diet and lifestyle information that is relatable, supportive and invigorating.
  • While I share evidence-based information about nutrition and diets, this should not be used as an alternative to individually tailored advice given by a registered health professional.
  • I will strive to ensure that all content I provide is up-to-date and provides the latest evidence available on the topic. I will strive to up date older posts as often as I can. However please be aware that older posts on this website may not be fully up to date.
  • I promise to only provide the public with my honest opinion. Thus employment or any financial or material gains will not influence my statements or choices.
  • All opinions are my own and do not necessarily represent those of my employers.

Sponsorship/Advertising/Reviews

  • I will always disclose if I have a professional or financial relationship that could appear to influence the content of a blog post. These disclosures will appear at the end of each relevant post.
  • Any freebies/samples or money received for writing posts or product reviews on this blog/website will be clearly disclosed and will not influence my opinions, the content or the topics discussed on this site.
  • I intend to adhere to the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) guidelines for sponsorship and advertising and will make it clear when paid for a promotion or blog post.
  • When it comes to reviewing, featuring or advertising services or products, I will only do so if I believe that these are of benefit to my followers. I will use my skills and knowledge as a dietitian to assess and review each endorsed product/service. I do not automatically endorse a product if I mention it.
